Just Starting Out

WELCOME TO CORE+.
WE THINK YOU’RE GOING TO LIKE IT HERE.

Whether you’re new to the workout game, keen to try something new, or think Pilates is a type of coffee, CORE+ is for you!  In fact, every one of our classes is suitable for all fitness levels.  Our fusion classes make us different to other forms of training, so even if you exercise regularly, we recommend checking out the tips below before your first CORE+ class.

Step One: Prep

Drink
Bottoms up! Plenty of water is key, so make sure you drink it in before you sweat it out.

Eat
Fuel your body with a light snack 30 minutes before class, but try to avoid anything too heavy.

Wear
Light and comfortable clothing that won’t hold you back – leggings or shorts and a tank is perfect.  No shoes required, all our classes are done barefoot.

Bring
Be sure to bring a bottle of water and a towel – you’re gonna need it! Both available for purchase at the studio too.

Step Two: Sweat

Arrive
Hands up if you hate rushing? Aim to arrive 15 minutes early so you have plenty of time to meet the instructor, get changed and have a stretch beforehand.

Check-in
Registered online beforehand? High five to you! If not, that’s OK too. Chat to your instructor who will ask you to fill in a serious-looking form and then activate your pass for next time.

Familiarise
Spend a few minutes getting to know CORE+, from our amenities to our range of products available to purchase.  Check out the studios page to see what your local CORE+ offers

Sweat
Time to sweat! Whether you’re heating it up or slowing it down, we always recommend putting in 100%. Your instructor is there to help, so just ask if you’re not sure about something. Most importantly do what you can, enjoy yourself and don’t forget to smile!

Step Three: Recover

Stretch
In a rush? You still need to stretch! This part of your regime is just as important as sweating, so always allow time at CORE+ or at home. The foam roller is your friend.

Fuel
Your body has earned it! Be sure to fill up on a protein-based, nutrient-rich meal or snack after working out to feed your muscles and maximise the results of the effort you’ve put in.

Rest
Don’t worry, it’s normal to feel sore in the days following your workout. Listen to your body and rest if you need it.

Return
We hate goodbyes! Make sure you book your next CORE+ class when you leave – we suggest trying them all.  You’ll see the best results when attending 3+ classes per week.
