A DAY ON A PLATE (AND IN THE GYM) WITH BROOKE MEREDITH
If you’ve been into any good cafe in Melbourne in the past year, chances are you’ve flipped through an issue of A Conscious Collection while waiting for your hot soy latte. You know the one: it’s the free – but very luxurious – lifestyle publication bursting at the seams with nutrition advice, health trends, travel hotspots, workout fashion shoots and whole food recipes. We love A Conscious Collection for a lot of reasons, but mostly because it’s created by wellness coach, model, Instagram favourite and original CORE+ member, Brooke Meredith!
We recently caught up with Brooke and couldn’t resist asking about her food and exercise regime, to see just what makes a wellness expert… well, a wellness expert.
Hey Brooke, what does a day on your plate look like?
I start every day with apple cider vinegar and lemon in warm water, followed by a breakfast of two boiled eggs and ¼ of an avocado. A bulletproof coffee on the side is also a must!
For a snack, I go for almonds and a banana which keeps me full until lunch, then I load up on mixed grains, leafy salad and chicken breast. If I’m out and about, I love stopping in at Left Field for lunch.
For dinner, I usually go for lean meat and vegetables – I love a good roast vegetable salad with salmon.
My absolute favourite treat is CHOCOLATE, so if I feel like something sweet I usually whip up yogurt mixed with chocolate protein powder.
The only other thing I make sure about is having three litres of water, every single day.
We know you love a bit of CORE+ action, so how do you keep fit?
Generally speaking, I follow a pretty similar routine from week-to-week, with the occasional new CORE+ class added in to mix it up!
- Monday: Morning walk
- Tuesday: Morning walk, and CORE+ Athletic Reformer Pilates at night
- Wednesday: Rest day
- Thursday: CORE+ Hot Pilates at night
- Friday: HIIT
- Saturday: CORE+ Guns, Buns + Tums class
- Sunday: Rest day
